Created for the eighth issue of the Safari interactive magazine, this article presents what I think digital publishing should be in comparison to its printed counterpart. It shares many of the common elements of print in terms of layout, the way the story is told, and the concept of ‘pages’. However, it also takes advantage of the functionalities that can be achieved only in the digital environment including audio, video, and interactive elements that introduce maps and peripheral information.
